Experience Unmatched Comfort:

Unveiling the Perfect Shoes for Nurses

Elevate Your Long Shifts with Our Collection of Top-tier, Ultra-Comfy Nurse Shoes

Gales aren't your average nursing shoes

Nursing is physically demanding. Nurses walk 4-5 miles/day. Common issues that come along with not wearing quality footwear are:

  • Peripheral neuropathy
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Heel spurs
  • Inflammation

Gales was founded to give back to the healthcare community through innovation with Smart PPE Footwear™ technology, offering the highest level of affordability, safety, cleanability, comfort and style in its class.

Common footwear worn in medical facilities puts our frontline nurses at risk, leaving 59 million providers exposed to infectious fluids and disease, so we led the charge to be the first to complete the bio-safe uniform.

My favorite part is the cushy material!

I am over weight and 58 years old. I have Diabetic Neuropathy and can not stand to have shoes tight across my toes. I was reduced to crocks... But lately I am having trouble with them staying on my feet. The Gales are shoes and the toe box is loose enough to limit pain. And with heel spurs... The spring in each step is so comfortable. I just ordered a second pair. THANK YOU GALES.

Walking on clouds

I have ''On- cloud'', ''Cloves'' and ''Asics'', and my gales are by far my most favorite so far. They have vents, so my feet do not feel sweaty, yet they are splash/fluid proof (C-Diff proof!!). These shoes are the most lightweight feeling, that put a spring in my step when walking. I highly recommend these for any healthcare professional, or service personal that will need a great new pair of non-skid shoes.

Love these shoes!

As a surgical resident, I get so much use out of these shoes. I was a little skeptical as they did squeak when I first put them on, but the squeaking has stopped and they are very comfortable for long shifts on my feet. I get so many compliments on these shoes and nurses/doctors asking where I got them. They also protect my feet and wipe clean really easily so I’m not afraid when I get blood/fluids on them. Have become my favorite shoes. Highly recommend!

Definitely will be getting another pair!!

2nd night in a row of wearing my Gales. Best purchase ever!! #1 reason is that my plantar fasciitis and knees didn't act up at all! (Wasn't walking like an old woman at work and actually able to get out of bed with no aches and pain) No break in period needed (brought other shoes just in case), shoes were very cushiony and true to fit.

COMFIEST SHOES EVER

I got my Gales for nursing school, and let me tell you, my feet feel like they are on cloud nine! These shoes are light, plush, easily wipeable, and a necessity for nursing students and nurses alike! Go grab your pair now!

comfy but has downsides

Theyre so incredibly comfortable and great for working in the hospital as far as fluids and protecting my feet. however they do not allow for any air flow and your feet get really sweaty fast. especially if you are on your feel all day as so many healthcare workers are

Good for Nursing School

These are great shows for nursing school, but unfortunately mine are about half a size too small and squeeze my toes (I can’t return them because I took them out of the original packaging unfortunately). I also noticed that they make my feet sweat a bit. But they do meet all of the specifics that nursing schools often require you have for your shoes!

Hi Shannon. Please email us at hello@weargales.com and we are happy to send you a complimentary pair in a half size bigger! You can screen shot and reference this response in your email :) Happy to get you in the proper size!

They are comfy, my feet did not hurt on my 12 hr shifts, my largest complaint is the squeaking. They make your feet sweat so bad and the squeaking is embarrassing and annoying. It is so loud. I tried for 2 weeks and I couldn’t do it anymore. Would love if they could figure out the squeaking issue.

We have anti-squeak versions launching in 2023!! Please email us at hello@weargales.com and as a loyal customer, we will send you a pair complimentary when they release.

Lightweight but no arch

I loved my purple gales and the light and weightless feel but on an extremely busy shift my arches were hurting and calves crying due to lack of support.

Hi! Our insoles are removable and can be replaced with custom orthotics if you need even more arch support!

didn't last long

I work 12 hour shifts at a hospital. I walk about 10 miles a day at work. I have plantar fasciitis plus I also prone outward. I bought these in August, being skeptical that they would help, as I have had other shoes that were supposed to help, and didn't. I was very happy in that my feet were not sore at all after a long day or week of work, and I had no proning whatsoever. Unfortunately, after extended use after 4-5 months, my feet have started hurting again, and I am proning again.

Hi! We are happy to hear that they helped relieve the soreness in your feet for 4-5 months! We aren't able to solve for plantar fasciitis or proning, but our insoles are removable and you can insert custom orthotics if your podiatrist recommends them!
